5th Street Ohana
5th Street Ohana is a fusion of casual Hawaiian atmosphere with the quality and style of a secluded, small B&B. In Hawaiian, the word Ohana means family. 5th Street Ohana is a small house that brings family living to the new millennium with privacy, comfort, and conveniences for today’s travelers.
A perfect place to stay while visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, 5th Street Ohana is located only two miles from the park and 45 minutes from Hilo. The town of Volcano Village is small and is better suited for those who want a quiet, relaxing stay. Still, there are a few convenient stores, restaurants, a local farmers market, and other attractions.
With Hawaii Volcanoes National Park being comparable in size to the Island of Oahu, there is plenty to do and see. If you love hiking, birding, and sightseeing, this is the place for you. Currently, there is an eruption site in Halema’uma’u Crater that produces a spectacular glow at night. Most people spend two to three nights in Volcano to explore the park and the south, eastern side of the island.
South of Volcano, one can find beautiful black and green sand beaches, along with other diverse landscapes. This region is called Ka’u. Ka’u has a few small towns, but is becoming more well-known for their coffee production; a great place to stop roadside or at the Ka’u Coffee Mill for some tastings.
Designed for travelers and families, 5th Street Ohana offers you the comforts of home. Our staff is devoted to our guest's happiness. Welcome to our Ohana!
